Manager of Strategy & Business Development Projects

Our client, established in 1972, revolutionized beverage container collection with reverse vending machines (RVMs). Now, they provide technology solutions for the circular economy, optimizing resource recovery and waste reduction in food, recycling, and mining sectors.

Responsibilities:
Develop a deep understanding of the clean loop cycle, from consumption to container processing, commodity marketing, and bottle producer demand to produce new containers
Understand and improve collection and processing partnerships in the clean loop
Understand developments and modernization timelines with Public Affairs and TC Strategy team
Lead business development projects across the AMS region
Evaluate BD opportunities for strategic fit following guidance of AMS Senior Leadership team
Manage and prioritize a portfolio of opportunities and track updates or changes that may accelerate or delay opportunities
Provide tracking and project management with AMS and Norway teams
Hold project team members accountable with project owner to timeline and deadlines
Ensure compliance with the companies SAFE Standards and Guidelines and relevant legislation regarding health, safety, and environment obligations
Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Minimum 5 years in business development and/or management consulting
5 years of leveraging strong cross-functional project team management
Proven experience in financial P&L modeling and analysis, cash flow analysis, and valuation methods
Highly resourceful team player, with the ability to also be extremely proactive and effective when working independently
Strong oral and written communication skills, ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders on complex issues and create persuasive proposals
Strong analytical, interpersonal, and organizational skills
Advanced knowledge of and experience using Microsoft Office (e.g., Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.), CRM software, and other related technologies
Bilingual English and Spanish preferred but not required
Valid driver’s license and passport
Travel: Within assigned regions up to 50% or more of the time, and work out of HQ office (Shelton, CT) up to approximately one week per month
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, or related field
Master’s degree in business administration in finance, or another related field preferred
