Responsibilities:
Reviews and analyzes partner compensation and tax compliance items on a monthly and quarterly basis. Provides initial level of commentary to leaders of the Accounting team
Reconciles compensation and tax general ledger account balances on a monthly and quarterly basis to ensure completeness and accuracy
Assists with year-end tax file preparation, partner final distribution computations, and audit requests, as required
Assist with periodic capital contributions, returns, reconciliations, bank loan requests, and other communications associated with partner capital account maintenance. Additionally includes assisting with verification of employment and/or income requests
Assists with various tax requirements, including ad hoc research projects, sales and use tax filings, personal property tax filings, business tax filings, and other state compliance filings
Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements:
2 years’ prior accounting experience
Public accounting experience with knowledge of state and local tax preferred
Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly with Excel
Excellent analytical skills with a thorough knowledge of accounting principles, including cash basis versus accrual basis accounting, partnership versus corporate accounting, and tax issues
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, with clients, lawyers, business professionals, and third parties
Produce deliverables, answer phone calls, and reply to correspondence in an efficient and responsive manner
Provide timely, accurate, and quality work product
Good organizational skills and ability to prioritize
Successfully meet deadlines, expectations, and perform work duties as required
Foster positive work relationships
Comply with all firm policies and practices
Engage in both physical and sedentary activity, such as (a) working at a computer for extended periods of time, including on-screen reading and typing; (b) participating in digital/virtual conference calls; (c) participating in meetings as needed

Education:
4 Year / Bachelor's Degree Accounting, Finance or related field
CPA license or CPA candidate preferred
