Responsibilities:
Provide high-quality legal support to lawyers and business professionals in the disputes and transactions departments.
Assist various department partners with overflow work as needed.
Manage client billing, attorney travel, and client communication.
Schedule meetings and calls using platforms like Teams and Zoom.
Prepare expense reports and maintain calendars.
Create and edit documents using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Offer back-up assistance and coverage for other members of the client service team when they are out of the office.
Requirements:
2 years administrative experience in a law firm or professional services organization.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills to interact with team members, lawyers, clients and other firm departments on a daily basis.
Advanced Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and the ability to learn firm-specific programs and software applications as required.
Ability to perform advanced document formatting, conversions and redlining.
Possesses strong practice area knowledge with the ability to understand legal terminology and documentation.
Project management skills to appropriately to accomplish tasks and meet deadlines.
Excellent time management, organizational and problem-solving skills.
Solid document production skills, attention to detail, and ability to proofread for accuracy and content of work.
Remains current in technical skills and practice area knowledge by taking offered online courses and attending organized meetings and training.
Education:
High School or GED
Bachelor's Degree or some college coursework strongly preferred
