The Opportunity
We are seeking a Sales Manager to lead an established team of seven outside sales professionals covering the East Houston metropolitan area.  This is a high-visibility leadership role with direct responsibility for a significant revenue portfolio of approximately $90 million. This position is ideal for a "player-coach" who enjoys being in the field, riding along with representatives, and engaging directly with customers while maintaining a strong presence within the branch operations. With a budget already secured for growth in 2026, this leader will play a pivotal role in scaling the team and driving market share.
What You Will Do
  • Lead, mentor, and coach a team of W2 sales professionals, focusing on activity-based metrics and high-accountability sales processes.
  • Drive revenue growth across multiple categories, including capital equipment sales, aftermarket parts, and service agreements.
  • Spend significant time in the field providing hands-on coaching, fostering key customer relationships, and ensuring the team follows a disciplined prospecting-to-closure workflow.
  • Collaborate closely with the Operations and Service departments to ensure seamless delivery and maintenance for all sold equipment and agreements.

  • The Tech-Enabled Strategist: You are proficient with modern CRM systems (such as Salesforce or Dynamics) and use data to manage KPIs and performance.
The ideal candidate should offer 5+ years of B2B sales management experience, specifically leading teams of at least three outside sales representatives. While experience in the equipment or industrial sector is a plus, the primary requirement is a proven track record of managing W2 professionals through a structured sales process. Backgrounds in competitive athletics or military service are highly valued, as is an understanding of basic financial drivers such as gross profit and revenue expenses.
