Associate Director - Client Growth Partner (Automotive|IT Consulting)

Atlanta, GA

About Our Client

Our client is a global Digital Product Engineering and Technology Services company that is undergoing significant expansion in key markets. The company focuses on building complex digital solutions and experiences for its customers. Our client has demonstrated robust, reliable growth, crossing the $1 billion revenue mark, and is targeting ambitious long-term expansion. The work culture is highly collaborative and results-oriented, with an emphasis on agility and direct involvement from leadership.

The Opportunity

This is a newly formalized, high-visibility role dedicated to owning and expanding one of the organization’s most strategic and highest-generating automotive accounts: Mercedes-Benz. Rather than focusing on "new logo" hunting, the Associate Director will serve as a dedicated Client Growth Partner (CGP) focused on deepening executive engagement and uncovering untapped service opportunities within a stable, 4-year+ delivery foundation. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will have full P&L ownership and act as the primary relationship owner for C-suite stakeholders, bridging the gap between business priorities and technology-driven innovation.

What You Will Do

  • Assume end-to-end P&L responsibility for a luxury automotive account, driving revenue growth through relationship depth and trust.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to C-level stakeholders (CIO, CTO), leading strategic discussions to align technology investments with business goals.
  • Identify, shape, and advance new opportunities within the existing portfolio to accelerate productivity and resilience via technology-driven innovation.
  • Drive conversations around operational efficiency and cost optimization by leveraging digital and AI-enabled solutions.
  • Maintain a consistent presence at the client’s Atlanta office (typically Tuesday–Thursday) to foster deeper engagement and stay close to their transformation journey.
  • Partner with delivery managers, engineering teams, and pre-sales leadership to ensure successful execution and client satisfaction.

Who You Are

  • Experienced IT Professional: You possess 15–23 years of professional experience, specifically within the IT services or global consulting sector.
  • Automotive Specialist: You have a minimum of 5 years of automotive industry experience, with a proven track record of selling IT or consulting services directly to automotive OEMs.
  • Account Farming Expert: You have a demonstrated record of success in account expansion and client relationship management, ideally with a 70% farming and 30% hunting focus.
  • Executive Presence: You are senior enough to operate credibly at the executive level, possessing excellent storytelling and communication skills.
  • Tech-Curious Strategist: You have a strong understanding of digital transformation trends and can frame AI/GenAI and cloud-native solutions in a business context.
  • Local or Willing to Relocate: You are based in the Atlanta area or willing to relocate to ensure a regular on-site presence at the client location.
The Ideal Candidate is a senior leader from a global systems integrator or consulting background who thrives on deep ownership of a single strategic account. You have spent a significant portion of your career working with automotive OEMs—experience with German manufacturers or Mercedes-Benz specifically is a major plus. You are not just a technologist; you are a business-minded growth partner who can influence CXO-level stakeholders and navigate complex P&L structures while remaining "technology-curious" enough to guide innovation. You prefer building long-term value through proximity and trust over high-volume, new-logo sales.

Why Join the Team?

Joining this team offers the rare opportunity to manage a flagship account for a global leader while enjoying the agility of an entrepreneurial, non-hierarchical culture. The organization provides comprehensive benefits, including 100% employer-covered medical, dental, and vision premiums for employees, an HSA with company contributions, and a 401k plan. Beyond the financial package—which includes a competitive base and OTE—you will benefit from robust learning and development programs like "Gyro School," leadership certifications, and an open-door policy for mentorship. This role provides high visibility, real accountability, and the chance to be at the forefront of AI-driven transformation in the automotive sector.
