The Opportunity
This is a one-year contract opportunity for an Accounts Receivable Assistant to provide critical support to the Accounting department. Operating in a fast-paced environment, this role is essential for researching and processing various cash applications and credit accounting tasks to ensure financial accuracy.
The Location
This position features a hybrid work model, allowing for a regular in-office presence with flexibility for work-from-home. Candidates must be within commuting distance of one of the following regional offices: Atlanta, Baltimore, Boston, Northern VA, Raleigh, Philadelphia, or Wilmington.
What You Will Do
Perform basic cash applications using Aderant.
Research pending, unidentified, and unapplied cash receipts.
Respond to AR-related requests and inquiries from billing and other internal groups.
Address and resolve administrative and financial tickets within ServiceNow.
Assist with financial adjustments, including write-offs, reversals, and reallocations.
Verify banking details with clients via phone and email correspondence.
Collaborate closely with the Collections department to apply pending payments.
Who You Are
Experienced: You possess at least 1 year of experience in accounts receivable and have a solid understanding of general accounting procedures and full-cycle accounting.
Technically Savvy: You are proficient in Microsoft Excel, 10-key data entry, and ideally have experience with Aderant and ServiceNow.
Communicative: You can effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, with various business professionals and third parties.
Detail-Oriented: You maintain a high level of accuracy while working under pressure and managing competing demands.
Professional: You maintain a professional demeanor and have the organizational skills necessary to meet strict deadlines.
