Service Advisor

The Opportunity

This role exists to contribute to industry leadership by growing new business using both existing and prospective customer networks. As a Service Advisor, you will advise on the best actions for a customer’s material handling equipment to improve equipment availability. Your primary impact aligns with attaining new preventative maintenance agreements and acquiring new business by designing, presenting, and negotiating new customer solutions.

Location

This position operates primarily out of an office setting while requiring significant local travel within an assigned region. Travel is expected up to 75% locally, potentially spanning throughout established Florida and Georgia markets.
 

What You Will Do

  • You will complete all assigned national account visits and ship-in delivery documents. 
  • You will locate all assigned Units in Operations (UIO) in the territory and add new contracts and units each quarter as per goals and objectives. 
  • You will use cold calling behaviors and techniques to connect and build relationships with new customers. 
  • You will track appointments and opportunities in the CRM while meeting minimum sales quotas assigned per unit type and class. 
  • You will develop tailored client proposals by working to identify customer pain points to provide best-in-class service and solutions. 
  • You will work with the analytics team to analyze current customer contracts and increase business. 
  • You will be responsible for optimizing, retaining, and renewing current contracts and existing customer accounts
 

Who You Are

  • You possess 2-3 years of work experience in a sales or service-oriented role. 
  • You possess excellent oral and verbal presentation and persuasion skills. 
  • You have strong proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite. 
  • You have an impeccable commitment to excellent customer service and communication etiquette. 
  • You demonstrate above-average time management, organizational, creativity, and cooperation skills.
  •  You possess a valid Driver’s License and a personal vehicle to utilize during travel within the territory.

The ideal candidate brings energy, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude to the job. They have proven experience in utilizing patience and empathy in problem-solving situations with customers. Additionally, they are highly capable of working efficiently with minimal guidance or supervision.
 

Education & Qualifications

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • An Associate or bachelor’s degree in business administration or similar is preferred, but a combination of experience and education will be considered.
  • Knowledge of industrial powered equipment and the material handling industry is a plus.
 

Flexibility & Work-Life Integration

  • Work Structure: This role is based in an office but relies heavily on driving and traveling by automobile around the assigned territory. 
  • Schedule: The required schedule is Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm. 
  • Environment: The general working environment consists of moving machinery and mechanical parts in outdoor areas and office work in indoor areas. Prolonged periods of sitting and driving in light to heavy traffic are expected.
