HR Compliance Manager
The Opportunity
This critical role was created to spearhead and maintain the integrity of our enterprise human resources operations across multi-state jurisdictions. As the HR Compliance Lead, you will serve as the core subject matter expert responsible for mitigating organizational risk, managing statutory reporting, and safeguarding company culture. - Serve as the central subject matter expert on federal, state, and local employment laws, translating complex statutory changes into clear operational practices and policy updates.
- Partner directly with General Counsel and executive stakeholders to evaluate compliance exposure, drive risk mitigation strategies, and manage documentation version control.
- Establish and maintain a centralized enterprise HR compliance calendar, taking ownership of critical audit cycles and internal process reviews.
- Oversee mandatory workforce compliance programs, including harassment prevention and workplace code-of-conduct initiatives, while auditing completion rates across all markets.
- Direct the end-to-end preparation and submission of essential statutory filings (such as EEO-1, VETS, and state pay transparency requirements) and report key metrics to executive leadership.
- Collaborate closely with internal HR Systems, Payroll, and Benefits teams to verify that HRIS configurations (Workday) align with statutory requirements.
- Identify operational inefficiencies and design scalable, system-based solutions to automate standard compliance checks.
Who You Are
- 10+ years of dedicated professional experience leading enterprise HR compliance, employment law governance, or HR risk management initiatives.
- Proven expertise in interpreting and operationalizing complex federal, state, and municipal labor laws.
- Demonstrated proficiency with enterprise HRIS platforms, with hands-on experience in Workday configuration and data reporting highly valued.
- Strong capability in managing statutory filings, conducting internal policy audits, and creating compliance metrics dashboards using advanced data analytical tools.
- Exceptional legal writing skills paired with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders without direct authority.
Education & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required.
- Professional HR certifications (PHR or SPHR) are strongly preferred.
